Here you can match the number of tens and units with the number on the counter. Get the pieces from the collection on the right, and don’t forget to press OK . |

| There is a list of 20
pre-established numbers which the program will randomly choose from. The user drags the tens and units from the unit collection on the right into their appropriate areas, clicking OK when they think they’ve matched the number shown on the counter. If they get it wrong a second time, an animation (‘counting animation’—different from the counting animation in Discover 3) brings across the correct number of units and tens, counting them. The Speaker next to the counter will be able to narrate the number. Filenames for each number are located in the numbers script. The voice will ultimately be mechanical-sounding. The Next Screen button only flashes after the user has entered a correct response. If the user has responded incorrectly for the 2nd time, then no buttons flash; they can decide on their own whether to select Start Again or Next Screen. The reset lever is the equivalent of arriving fresh at the screen - the counter is set to a new random number, and the areas will empty. |
